Why it mattered: The Jeep Wrangler's design hasn't strayed far from the World War II jeeps that inspired it—in fact the Museum of Modern Art has periodically exhibited the Jeep as part of its collection. Though Chrysler’s most recent redesign updated underlying technology, the car still features the classic upright seven-bar grille flanked by two round head lamps.
