GPS Gives Photos a Backstory

You can geotag your pictures with coordinates as soon as you take them, then map them on a computer. With devices like Sony's GPS-CS3K, HDR xR500V, or Nikon's GP-1, a real estate agent can take and organize photos of properties, a scientist can track a rare animal, or you could explore photos of a specific neighborhood or region that have been tagged and uploaded to Flickr or Picasa. The technology is making its way into smartphones, too.
