The audacious 19-month-old startup intends to create a new transportation network that supports electric vehicles. Founded by Shai Agassi, former president of SAP's (SAP) products and technology group Better Place has raised $400 million to build stations to recharge and quickly replace batteries. In essence, consumers would subscribe to transportation as a service.
