Ormond Beach, located just north of Daytona Beach, is known as the "birthplace of speed." Auto racing got its start on Ormond's drive-on beach nearly 100 years ago and many of the early racing speed records were made and broken there. Ormond is also home to a number of golf courses, an art museum, and the Tomoka State Park.
