Early Google Production Server

Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin rigged this collection of cheap, connected PCs in 1999 to process thousands of search requests a second. The hardware reflected Google's search algorithm, which could tolerate machines that failed. The design helped Google grow quickly without incurring high costs.
