Silvio Berlusconi is not only one of Italy's richest men, he is also one of its most controversial. In 2008, Berlusconi won his third term as prime minister of Italy, but he remains involved in the private sector. As the founder and majority shareholder of Fininvest, he controls Mediaset, one of Italy's largest media companies, which owns several TV channels and news magazines. Berlusconi is also co-founder of Mediolanum, one of the country's largest insurance companies, and he owns one of Italy's biggest football clubs, AC Milan. Italy's prime minister has a net worth estimated at $9.4 billion.
