Thanks to its proprietary catalyst, GreatPoint can transform coal into high-grade natural gas using far less energy than current methods. The approach also isolates most of the CO2 from the coal, making it a neat fit for efforts to stash the greenhouse gas underground. GreatPoint's first industrial-scale plant is going up in China.
