The Breath Counter, which was designed for the "Fighting Pneumonia" project to detect pneumonia in children living in developing countries, is a simple yet advanced respiration-monitoring device for accurately and reliably identifying and classifying cases of the disease. This easy-to-use, solar-powered device allows health-care workers to sample a child's breath and diagnose pneumonia in just 60 seconds.
