Keen design-and-technology observers won't be surprised to hear the name that dominated the computer equipment category of this year's IDEA design excellence awards. Apple (AAPL) scooped up three golds, including two for different versions of its MacBook computer. "Apple continues to polish this product line to perfection, all while adding new features and reducing production and aesthetic complexity. MacBooks are not only wondrously fruitful machines, they are highly desirable accessories to life," said judge Brett Lovelady, president and CEO of Astro Studios.
