Samsung was a big winner in the home living category, with a dual-purpose oven described by judge and former vice-president of design, innovation, and strategy at Procter & Gamble (PG) Claudia Kotchka as "a terrific insight, executed brilliantly." Meanwhile, a book full of ideas also took Gold. "It's the richest conceptual industrial design work I have seen for some time, propelled by the idea of materials over form," said judge John Barratt, who's president and CEO of design firm Teague.
