The concept for the Spertus Institute wayfinding system emerged from the Jewish educational and cultural institution's mantra: "Let There Be Light." Placed on both sides of the many interior glass surfaces, the two fonts combine to create a single flickering typeface, an allusion to the Spertus symbol, the flame of a candle.
