Service: Data & Analytics
Not a consumer service, Gnip essentially gathers user names from social networks such as Facebook and real-time sites like Twitter and notes what those users have done on the site, such as adding content. Then Gnip makes that data available to other services, such as the online address book Plaxo, so they can save time and avoid having to search and index those sites themselves.
