One might assume that after almost 200 years, designers would have perfected the simple setup of two wheels, a seat, a frame, and handlebars. However, bike innovation has really geared up (pun intended) of late. Electric-assisted bikes are becoming more common, and engineers have been experimenting with innovative materials.
