Lee and Kirby came up with the idea for the mutant X-Men in 1963. The merry band consists of Professor Xavier, Cyclops, Iceman, Jean Grey, Angel, Beast, Storm, Rogue, and Wolverine, among others. A series of increasingly successful films based on the team's exploits have been released over the last decade, earning $296.3 million, $407.7 million, and $459.4 million, respectively.
