Walt Disney's (DIS) purchase of Marvel Entertainment (MVL) for $4 billion in cash and stock, announced on Aug. 31, clearly gives Disney another strong brand. It also brings together two entertainment powerhouses, as Marvel heroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America get equal billing with Disney stalwarts such as Mickey Mouse and Goofy.
