PROBLEM: Store personnel in a group of stores provided feedback to executive leadership that they were receiving excessive store signage.

SIX SIGMA ANALYSIS: The retailer was printing and distributing identical store-sign kits to an entire region, regardless of individual store size, product assortment, or display plans. The company instituted a method for stores to customize and order weekly promotional sign kits, and consequently achieved a 41% reduction in signage waste.
