Mo Al Adham, CEO of the eight-person San Francisco company that has developed software called TwitVid for uploading video to Twitter:
I was in college at the University of Waterloo in Canada as a software engineering student and met [EatLime co-founder] Adil Lalani. It was winter of 2007 and Adil and his friend had a band. I was hanging out with them and they had just finishing filming a song they were performing and we wanted to send the video to a friend of ours who was a media editor. We tried numerous ways to send it to him, and they all failed. We were surprised it was hard to get a video file from point A to point B. All the online tools available were missing something—nothing was quick and easy. Over the course of the next few days we were brainstorming and found a technical solution. We started building it out, and it successfully sends videos much faster than anything else out there.
