When Mars introduced 3 Musketeers in 1932, the 5¢ package contained a trio of candies, in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. The chocolate bar, with its innards of nougat and whipped chocolate, was so popular that Mars dropped the others. Outside the U.S. and Canada, 3 Musketeers is sold as Milky Way.
