Infineon Technologies Dresden is a major production site for German chipmaking giant Infineon Technologies (IFXGn.DE). The Dresden factory produces silicon wafers for use in the automotive, security, and semiconductor industries. Infineon Dresden was a founding member of the Silicon Saxony association, a trade group that promotes the development of the technology industry in the Saxony region around Dresden.
