Discovery Green, an 11.8-acre park in downtown Houston that opened in April 2008, includes two restaurants, a park administration building, underground parking, and performance spaces, making it an extension of the urban landscape. The entire park, including the buildings, earned a Gold LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
