Bloomberg BusinessWeek looked into the 2009 compensation of Chief Executives at 81 big companies. Total pay dropped by 8.6%, but the cash portion of their compensation went up 8.3%. A shift away from stock awards means bosses’ fortunes are less aligned with those of their companies. Here are some of the CEOs with the biggest increases and decreases in total pay in 2009.
