Wittelsbach Diamond
Price: $24.3 million
This 35.56-carat, cushion-shaped diamond sold at a Christie's London auction in December 2008. The legendary deep grayish-blue gem from India passed through the hands of many royal families and spent two centuries in the House of Bavaria as the family diamond of the Wittelsbachs, according to Christie’s. It was recently renamed the Wittelsbach-Graff Diamond.
