The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) wanted to improve the technology experience of its hotel guests, so it turned to Lumenogic and created a prediction market that let employees submit ideas and bet on the best ones. About 85 ideas came in. The winners were suggestions to improve the search function on the U.K. company's website for finding and booking hotel rooms. One of the winning ideas involved integration with Google (GOOG) Maps.
